Methods of application of indolebutyric acid and basal lesion on ‘Woodard’ blueberry cuttings in different seasons

Abstract Blueberry cuttings are difficult to root, so alternatives that maximize their rhizogenic potential essential for the expansion of crop. The objective this work was evaluate effect basal lesion and different methods indolebutyric acid (IBA) on rooting ‘Woodard’ herbaceous cuttings, collected in two seasons. experimental design used completely randomized a 3x2x2 factorial arrangement, totaling 12 treatments five replications. factors consisted ways IBA application (talc alcohol concentration 1,000 mg L-1, without IBA), season collection (autumn summer), types (with portion). Two hundred days after beginning experiment, there no significant cuttings. However, it found is influenced by collection, with greater leaf retention, dry weight, number roots per cutting, length largest root summer. talc provided higher percentage rooted (61.0%) relation (31.0%) control (41.0%) when autumn. There difference between seasons applied talc, however, solution resulted percentages summer (70.0% 67.0%, respectively). Summer considered best collect blueberry although has increased did not promote an increase rooting.
